I've been finding the TED Talks to be a wonderful resource. Thanks to my friend Ken Homer for pointing these out to me.
Here is another talk that coaches will find provocative. Dan Gilbert is a psychology professor at Harvard doing research into what generates happiness. He is the author of Stumbling on Happiness.
His research points to the way that we are able to simulate experiences in our pre-frontal cortex. And this enables us to synthesize happiness. According to Gilbert, "We have the capacity to manufacture the very commodity [happiness] we are constantly chasing when we choose experience." Curious? Watch the video to find out how.
Take care,
-Steve
